What is Open 13.4 Rx?

Open 13.4 took the beloved 7-minute ladder format and swapped in a heavier question: clean and jerks at 135/95 alternating with toes-to-bar, growing by 3s. The C&J weight is moderate fresh and meaningful by the round of 12, while T2B attack the exact grip and midline the barbell needs. It's the thinking athlete's sprint: seven minutes long, but every transition and set-break is a real decision.

Tips & Strategy

Fast singles on the barbell from the round of 9 - dropping from overhead and stepping back in beats touch-and-go the moment your breathing is loud. T2B unbroken while crisp, then quick 4s and 3s protecting the rhythm. Chalk at the 9s, not mid-set. The clock rewards continuous motion: leave the bar 2 seconds before you feel ready.
