AMRAP 15 mins: 3 Wall Walks, 12 Dumbbell Snatches (50/35 lb), 15 Box Jump-Overs (24/20 in).
Primary movement: WW/DB Snatch/BJO
Open 22.1 opened 2022 by domesticating 21.1's wall walk: just three per round, woven between dumbbell snatches and box jump-overs in a fifteen-minute triplet. The dosage is the design - three wall walks never terrify, but ten rounds means thirty of them, and the shoulder bill arrives quietly around round seven. It's the modern Open's template opener: universally attemptable, aggressively honest about who does their engine work.
| Level (Rounds) | Men | Women |
|---|---|---|
| beginner | 5 | 4.5 |
| intermediate | 7 | 6.5 |
| advanced | 9 | 8 |
| elite | 11+ | 10+ |
Rounds in 15 minutes (30 reps per round).
Wall walks at one unhurried tempo all fifteen minutes - the athletes who sprint them in round two walk them in round nine anyway, having paid extra for the privilege. Snatches unbroken and metronomic, alternating in the air. Box jump-overs with a step-over rhythm; no standard requires standing tall, so stay low and flowing. This is a 'boring wins' workout: identical 90-second rounds, ten times, is the whole secret.
Scaled: reduced-mark wall walks, 35/20 lb dumbbell, step-overs.
