Open 17.1 introduced the dumbbell to the Open - and did it with a mountain: 150 alternating snatches in growing sets of 10 to 50, each separated by 15 burpee box jump-overs. Repeated as 21.2, it's pure engine attrition: no skill gate, no heavy bar, just 225 reps of hinging, jumping and deciding not to slow down. The set of 50 snatches with 75 burpee-box-jump-overs already behind you is one of the Open's great mental checkpoints.
| Level (Time) | Men | Women |

The snatches are a metronome exercise: switch hands in the air or on the floor, but never break rhythm - the sets are unbroken by design at this weight. The burpee box jump-overs are the real price: pick a step-up-step-over cadence you can repeat 75 times and refuse to sprint any of it before the set of 40. Hinge with your legs on every snatch; backs that curl early pay compound interest by rep 100.
Scaled: 35/20 lb dumbbell and burpee step-overs to a lower box.
