What is Open 13.2 Rx?

Open 13.2 is the Open's purest speed-AMRAP: one bar at one light weight (115/75) for shoulder-to-overheads and deadlifts, plus box jumps, in rounds designed to take under a minute. Nothing should ever break - which transforms the test into transitions, box jump cycle time and the courage to simply not slow down. Ten rounds is table stakes; the top of the leaderboard lived above thirteen.

Tips & Strategy

Everything unbroken, always - if the bar work breaks, the weight was wrong for this workout's intent. The score hides in the box jumps: a fast step-up rhythm or safe low rebound, practiced beforehand, saves 5+ seconds per round times ten rounds. Touch-and-go deadlifts with a loose hook grip. Set a round pace (55-65 seconds) and treat every transition like a rep.

Scaled & Beginner Versions

Scaled: 75/55 lb bar and step-ups. Beginner: light dumbbells and a low box.
