AMRAP 7 mins, ascending ladder: 3 Thrusters (100/65 lb) + 3 Chest-to-Bar Pull-Ups, then 6+6, 9+9, 12+12... adding 3 reps per round until time expires.
Primary movement: Thrusters/C2B
Open 11.6 closed the first Open with a format so perfect it became a franchise: the 7-minute ascending thruster and chest-to-bar ladder, repeated as 12.5 and 18.5. Rounds of 3 grow by 3 forever, meaning the workout starts as a sprint and ends wherever your engine's ceiling lives - usually mid-round-of-15 or 18, with forearms full of concrete and a decision to make on every C2B set.
| Level (Reps) | Men | Women |
|---|---|---|
| beginner | 50 (round of 12) | 45 |
| intermediate | 75 (round of 15) | 68 |
| advanced | 100 (round of 18) | 90 |
| elite | 125+ | 115+ |
Total reps in 7 minutes.
Sprint through the 9s unbroken - those rounds are cheap and the clock is short. From the 12s, calculated breaks: thrusters 7-5, C2B in fast 4s with immediate re-grip. Chalk once, at the 12s. The last 90 seconds are pure output: singles on C2B with zero standing time beat sets you can't start. Know your target round from your last attempt and pace to beat it by 3 reps.
Scaled: 65/45 lb thrusters and chin-over-bar pull-ups. Beginner: light thrusters and jumping pull-ups, same ladder.
